UPDATES ON GLOBAL LICENSING GROUP EVENTS

Last updated May 7th, 2020

After close consultation with our industry partners, customers and community around the world, we’ve made the decision to postpone Licensing Expo 2020 until May 25-27, 2021.

We’d like to thank all our customers and partners for their support, open discussions and encouragement. As everyone has been reminding us, the need to connect with partners, colleagues and the licensing community is greater than ever, so, in partnership with Licensing International, we will be delivering a series of multi-platform events through the remainder of the year, starting with Licensing Week Virtual on June 15-19. For more information visit www.licensingweekvirtual.com. More details on other events will follow in the next few weeks. Please bookmark this page or subscribe to our Global Licensing Group newsletter to receive updates directly to your inbox.

  • What are the alternative options for 2020?

We are working on a range of events – in-person and virtually - as an alternative to Licensing Expo and more details will be announced shortly. The first event has already been announced – Licensing Week Virtual - taking place on June 15-19.

  • Is Brand Licensing Europe still confirmed for October?

Brand Licensing Europe is still scheduled to go ahead as planned from 6-8 October at ExCeL London. We are currently mapping multiple scenarios to ensure the event provides our exhibitors and visitors with the safest and most productive event experience in line with any advice or guidelines from the World Health Organisation and UK government, alongside ExCeL London and our other contractor partners.

If we are unable to proceed as planned, we will communicate this to all participating customers NO LATER than two months before the scheduled event.

If you would like to understand more about our current plans, please contact [email protected] or speak to your account manager if you are a current or prospective exhibitor.

  • Is Licensing Leadership Summit still confirmed for November?

Licensing Leadership Summit is still scheduled to go ahead as planned from November 5-7 at New York Hilton Midtown.  We are mapping multiple scenarios, including virtual content options, to ensure the summit can proceed safely and deliver the best possible experience for all attendees and sponsors.

If we are unable to proceed as planned, we will communicate this to all participating customers NO LATER than two months before the scheduled event.

  • What will happen to my hotel reservation for Licensing Expo 2020?

If you have booked hotel rooms in our official room block, you will receive an email from our housing provider CHP with a link to cancel your current reservation. No fees are due. We will open up housing bookings for Licensing Expo 2021 in June 2020.

  • I have already booked flights for Licensing Expo 2020. How can I recoup that expense?

If you have booked flights, we encourage you to reach out to the airline or to your insurer to see what your options are. Most airlines are being very generous with their cancellation policies.

EXHIBITOR/SPONSOR

  • Will my booth/sponsor purchase in 2020 roll over to the postponed date in 2021?

We are rolling over contract fees to our Licensing Expo 2021 and participating exhibitors will have the opportunity to sign a renewal agreement for the same booth location, number and size.  The agreement will be provided by your account manager and should be signed by June 8th, 2020. Any alternative arrangements should be discussed with your account manager.

  • What will happen to by booth/stand/sponsorship purchase if Brand Licensing Europe or Licensing Leadership Summit is unable to take place in 2020?

All contract fees will be rolled over to 2021 without penalty and participating exhibitors and sponsors will be able to sign a renewal agreement for the same booth location, number and size or sponsorship package. Any alternative arrangements should be discussed with your account manager.

  • What will happen to the exhibitor services I purchased (Internet, A/V, etc.) for Licensing Expo 2020?

Orders already placed through GES, Freeman or MBCC are 100% refundable. Please check the terms & conditions of your contracts for services booked through other suppliers. Many are being extremely flexible in their cancellation terms.
