The need to connect with partners, colleagues, and the licensing community is greater than ever, so, in partnership with Licensing International, we will be delivering a series of multi-platform events through the remainder of the year, starting with Licensing Week Virtual on June 15-19. Below you can find some helpful information regarding Licensing Week Virtual 2020 and what you can expect.

General Questions

Licensing Week Virtual is a 5-day virtual program organized by the Global Licensing Group which aims to bring together the global licensing community at a time when physical networking and deal-making is unfeasible.

The program is designed to offer education and networking opportunities for licensing professionals at all levels and areas of experience. We’re developing a great selection of sessions delivered by many new and established industry trendsetters in licensing, brand extension, consumer goods, and retail.

Licensing Week Virtual is a completely digital event. Attendees, speakers, and exhibitors will gather online to share and interact from their remote locations. There will be no in-person component.

The progression of the COVID-19 pandemic made it clear that the most prudent course of action for the safety and health of everyone involved is to provide a virtual experience rather than an in-person event. Given the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we believe a virtual program offers the best current setting for you to build knowledge and network with your fellow peers in the licensing industry.

Licensing Week Virtual will include a virtual show floor so you will have the opportunity to connect with top vendors to learn about the latest licensing innovations throughout the event. This will include the opportunity to join live chats, access downloadable resources, and more. Please continue to check the website for the latest information.

Upon registering, all attendees agree to adhere to our Code of Professional Conduct. We reserve the right to remove attendees not behaving consistent with the Code of Conduct.

Attendance Questions

Sign up on the registration page and secure your spot! You’ll receive a confirmation email with an add-to-calendar option, and reminders leading up to the event, including a link granting you access to the virtual environment to view content, access virtual booths and connect with fellow attendees.

If you are registered to attend, please note that the platform opens at 8:30PST/16:30BST on Monday, 15th June. If you attempt to login before this time, the system will not accept your login and will redirect you to the registration form. You can access the Matchmaking Service platform ahead of time by clicking this link.

Nothing! Licensing Week Virtual is FREE to attend.

The entire week of Licensing Week Virtual content, including:

  • Three live keynote sessions scheduled at 9:00AM PST and 17:00 BST Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the convenience of both U.S. and European audiences.

There is a free of charge option for all attendees as well as upgrade options to purchase more meeting requests.

Licensees/manufacturers and retailers will receive unlimited meeting requests for the duration of the week.

Licensors/brand owners, agents, service providers and those working in professional services will receive 10 free of charge meeting requests. You can purchase more in the matchmaking portal and the costs are as follows: 

Free of charge: 10 first meeting requests

  • 10 more = $100 ($10/invitation)
  • 40 more = $300 ($7.5/invitation)
  • 60 more = $425 ($7.03/invitation)  

From 8:30PST / 16:30BST on Monday 15th June, you will be able to access the platform using the following link: https://informamarkets.6connex.com/event/LicensingVirtual/login. You will need your email address to gain access. If you attempt to login before this time, the system will not accept your login and will redirect you to the registration form. There is no need to register again, simply wait until the system opens on Monday.

You should have received your login details within 48hrs of registering; please contact [email protected] if not, or if you have any other questions. We strongly advise that you pre book meetings ahead of time; you can do so by logging in using this link.

Licensing Week Virtual uses two separate platforms: The Matchmaking Service platform which you can access ahead of time using this link, and will need to have open during the week for your pre-booked meetings. The other is 6connex, which cannot be accessed until Monday 15th June at 8:30PST/16:30BST and hosts the virtual expo hall, seminar theater, resource center and more. 

There is a chat function within the 6connex platform which will allow you to interact with other attendees who are online at the same time as you. You can also chat to exhibitors through their virtual booth. If you want to arrange a meeting, we strongly advise pre-booking it through the Matchmaking Service to make use of the video conference functionality and have it confirmed in the diary.

We have different "rooms" within the 6connex platform, including the virtual theater for seminars, expo hall, resource center and more... these can all be accessed via a tool bar at the bottom of the screen, or from the main hall that you will see when you login.

The Matchmaking Service is identical to the one used at Licensing Expo or Brand Licensing Europe and can be accessed now to familiarize yourself with the platform.

Yes, during the LIVE keynotes, and we encourage it! For on-demand sessions, there will be the opportunity to submit questions prior via our website and to also ask questions that the speakers will answer post event.

Yes, you can browse concurrent attendees and see name, title, and company. You can invite active attendees to a one-on-one chat conversation. Attendees can accept or decline chat invitations. You can also connect with attendees and book meetings using the Matchmaking Service where you can search by region, company attendees for your needs.

Yes, there are options for one-on-one chat and public group chat in each virtual booth. Exhibitor representatives will be identified in the booth. Additionally, if you return on-demand and the representative is not online you will have the ability to email them. You can also book meetings with Exhibitors via the Matchmaking Service.

Yes, the environment is mobile friendly. However, we do recommend accessing on desktop for the maximum experience.

Content Questions

Yes, all content will be available on-demand beginning the following day. However, any interactive features will be limited to the opening hours of 9am-5pm PST. If you can attend during our live hours, we recommend joining us to view the keynote and interact with exhibitors and fellow attendees. If you attend outside of opening hours, you will still have access to on-demand content from the previous day(s), downloadable resources via our Resource Center and the option to contact any of our exhibitors, when the event re-opens.

All sessions will be available for on-demand viewing in the digital environment. To view, log back into the event and visit the theater.

Yes! The digital environment offers a digital briefcase. You can download any content item to your briefcase with 1-click. Then, before you leave, download a zipped folder containing all your briefcase content.

Once a time-bracketed event concludes (like a keynote) it will disappear from the theater sessions. However, it will return the next day for on-demand viewing. All content is available on-demand beginning the following day.

Matchmaking Questions

Within 24 hours of registering for Licensing Week Virtual, you will receive an email with details on how to access to the Matchmaking Service Portal.  You will need to login to update your profile and book meetings with attendees and exhibitors. Please note that attendees will be added to the Service daily, so we recommend logging in frequently to search and book meetings.
The Matchmaking Service is also accessible through the virtual environment by clicking on the grey door titled “Matchmaking”. This will take you directly to the Portal. Please note that the Portal is separate to the virtual environment so for the best possible experience, we recommend having both open throughout the week – simply have two tabs open side by side in your browser.

The Matchmaking Service is run by Sector Global who is an approved partner of Informa Markets & the Global Licensing Group. Sector Global also runs the Matchmaking Service at Licensing Expo and Brand Licensing Europe. 

You can access the Matchmaking Service and book meetings within 24 hours of registering for Licensing Week Virtual. Meetings can only take place during Licensing Week Virtual. Meetings can be scheduled at any time from 9am BST until 5pm PST from Monday 15 June through Friday 19 June. This offers 16 hours per day within which to book meetings.

Meetings will take place virtually within the Matchmaking Service Portal and you can invite up to 8 people to attend provided that they are registered for Licensing Week Virtual. There will be guides available with the Portal on how to make the most of the Service and if you have any questions, please contact Sector Global.
